Hugo Martínez-Tormo (Spain, 1979) is graduated in Fine Arts and Agricultural Engineer; also he got a Multimedia and Visual Arts Degree at UPV Valencia, Spain, and one-year residency at Interface Cultures Degree at Linz, Austria. Owing to his technical and scientific formation, his work and research deal with existent relation between art, science and technology, talking about many different topics like environmental problems, ecology, identity or scientific spreading and dissemination.

He uses different disciplines and expression media as interactive and audiovisual installations, mechanical and acoustic installations, electronics, programming, performance, painting, sculpture or photography, being a New Media & Multidisciplinary artist.

Actually, his work deals with scientific concepts. In 2004, he started to work with nano concepts; the study of matter and energy in nanometric scales and its artistic application. Also, in 2006, he started to work under ToE concepts, based on the search of a scientific theory, the Theory of Everything, which tries to unify all formulated theories until now, claiming to unify concepts.

His professional career has taken him to exhibit and show their work in both, solo and group exhibitions, as well as in various national and international festivals of art and technology. Ars Electronica Festival of Linz (Austria), LABoral of Gijón (Spain), Amber Festival of Istanbul (Turkey), Digital Art Biennale NFC (Poland), Espacio Enter of Tenerife (Spain), IKAS_Art of Bilbao (Spain), Art in the City of Mainz (Germany) or Incubarte Festival of Valencia (Spain) among others.





Hugo Martínez-Tormo (1979) es Licenciado en Bellas Artes e Ingeniero Agrícola, además de tener un Master en Artes Visuales y Multimedia por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y haber cursado un año de residencia en el Master Interfaces Cutures de Linz, Austria. Debido a su formación técnica y científica, centra su investigación en la relación existente entre Arte, Ciencia y Tecnología, tratando diferentes temas como la ecología y la problemática medioambiental, la identidad del Ser o la divulgación científica.

En sus trabajos usa diferentes disciplinas y medios de expresión como instalaciones interactivas, instalaciones audiovisuales, instalaciones mecánicas y sonoras, electrónica, pintura, escultura, video o fotografía, siendo un artista Multidisciplinar y de los Nuevos Medios.

Actualmente, su trabajo se centra en conceptos científicos. En 2004, empieza a trabajar con conceptos nano, el estudio de la materia y la energía en escalas nanométricas y su aplicación artística. Además, en 2006, empieza a trabajar bajo la influencia de la teoría ciéntifica ToE, basada en los conceptos que trascienden de la búsqueda de una teoría científica que unifique todas las teorías hasta ahora formuladas, pretendiendo así el acercamiento hacia la unificación de conceptos.

Su trayectoria profesional le ha llevado a exponer y mostrar su obra tanto en exposiciones individuales como colectivas, así como en diferentes festivales nacionales e internacionales de arte y tecnología. Ars Electronica Festival (Austria), LABoral de Gijón (España), Amber Festival de Estambul (Turquía), Bienal de Arte Digital NFC (Polonia), Espacio Enter de Tenerife (España), IKAS_Art de Bilbao (España), Art in the City de Mainz (Alemania) o el Festival Incubarte de Valencia (España) entre otros.
